NBC announced today that Parks and Recreation has been renewed for a seventh season. The pickup was seen as likely after the network's entertainment president predicted another season for the long-running comedy earlier this year.
Update: Season 7 will be Parks and Recreation's final season. It is currently slated to premiere midseason during 2014-2015, though no date has been announced at this time.
Update 2: The final season of Parks and Recreation will premiere on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 8:00pm.

"Parks and Rec" had a good run and a solid conclusion. Hope its cast members find other opportunities if they haven't done so already.

Not sure why, it's no longer funny or even very interesting. It was great the first few seasons, then the whole political campaign just ruined it and it has never recovered.
