FOX has renewed TV's longest-running comedy for two more seasons.

FOX announced today that The Simpsons has been renewed for Seasons 27 and 28, extending the animated comedy's run past an unprecedented 600 episodes. The Sunday night staple continues to pull in healthy ratings for the network, and is even currently ranked as one of the Top 10 broadcast TV shows among men 18-34.
On the air since 1989, The Simpsons holds the distinction of being television's longest-running prime time scripted series. Along the way it has picked up over 30 Emmy Awards, had a feature film made, and was named Best Show of the 20th Century by Time Magazine.

It's Sunday night and I just saw a new episode and I'm happy to say that I still love the show!

I hate to say this to you all, but this show is not as good as it used to be. It has been in a slow decline quality-wise for a while now. The writers occasionally pull a rabbit out of their collective hats and come up with a great episode, but those episodes are few and far between these days. I might be crazy enough to send a letter to Matt Groening asking that he make Season 28 the last one. As for Season 30, I'm still laughing at that possibility.

they cancel (insert show from other network) but keep this on? why? Before you ask this read the article above. Second if you don't like it turn on something else. Congrats to them for what they have done.

They might as well had renewed it to season 30 and gotten it over with. I mean we already know its gonna happen, just do it already.

3 decades is a lock now. I think this show can last 5 decades and go beyond 1000 episodes! Rock on Simpsons!
