CBS has renewed CSI: Cyber for a second season. The freshman procedural is the latest entry in the CSI franchise and stands to be the only one left as soon as next season. Rumors are the original CSI will be closing things out with a final 2-hour movie.
If CSI: Cyber is indeed the last entry left in the storied CSI franchise next season, it will have its work cut out for it if it wants to enjoy the success of its predecessors. Initial ratings have already waned and viewer response has been critical of the show's quality.

The problem with this show is - unlike the other CSI shows were all the science is interesting (Even if done faster than in real life) with CSI:Cyber watching people fingering keyboards and then announcing their discoveries grows old quickly.
It would be challenging for actors to appear interesting given the basic flaw of the show.

Does this get better I tried watching an episode and the acting was so bad it felt very off? I couldn't stand it. Next season they'll probably step it up since its the last csi TV series airing.

love this show.....teaches all about blackhats...great to see it renewed....anything arquette does is bound to be amazing.

No acting on this show... no writing and I am wondering why it is still on... Arquette can always be counted on to stink! I guess no acting ability runs in the family..

Am simply stunned this dog of a show was renewed. Just gobsmacked. The only way I'll watch next season is if they can Arquette.
When Kathy Lee Giffird left the Regis & Kathy show many, many years back, the ratings for the show went UP!! Take a long look at this example, Bruckheimer, Zuiker, Mendleson & Donahue, because there's so much wrong with Arquette in this role the ratings dropped like a rock in a lake.
Put in another lead actor - even if you have to buy out her contract - & give this show a fighting chance. It won't get thru another season the way it is........

This show is not good. I'm not sure how it got renewed. Bad acting, poor stories and just plain uninteresting.
