It is being reported that Banshee's upcoming fourth season will be its last. While there has been no official word yet from Cinemax on the matter, producers are said to be fully aware of the situation. In turn, they will use the advanced notice to come up with an appropriate conclusion for the series.
Look for Season 4 of Banshee to premiere in early 2016.

Brian, they delayed the premiere until April 1. Looks like the date has been updated on the site now.

It says near the top of this website season 4 premieres tonight Friday January 29th. I checked all the Cinamax channels and do not see anything listed. What is going on?

Cinemax aka Skineman as it's been known for going back to the 80's is in the stages of changing it's image and cutting way back on the sex and softcore they've been known for. With all the new competition from Netflix, Amazon, AMC, cable and online series, the Cinemax masterminds got a new strategy which they've been very hush-hush about. I've watch the entire final season of STRIKE BACK and the sex scenes has been tamed down to one big one that was pretty clean compared to the stuff eariler in the previous seasons. I'm judging the final season of BANSHEE will be similar. I'm not saying Cinemax is going clean but they have been changing subtly over the last 18 months. In what direction they're going .... well, I have seen recent channel promos that have aired in Russia recently that have a more 'General Audience' feel about it. We'll see I suppose.

Sad to hear that this awesome show will come to an end.. However, Sheriff Hood can only pretend to be a sheriff for so long. Besides, the characters keeps getting killed. I didn't think anyone would be left ... It is always good to end a show while it is at its best instead of becoming bland and stupid...

Why is it that every time I get invested in a great show, it always gets cancelled before it's natural conclusion. This is a great show, cutting edge, filled with uniqueness and surprises. It was an e ticket ride from the very first episode.

I can only echo all the great comments about this unique and intriguing show, really hate to see it end.
