Starz orders more of the adventure drama.

Starz announced today that Black Sails has been renewed for a fourth season, continuing the trend of early pickups for the pirate drama. With Season 3 not set to premiere until 2016, Season 4 likely won't air until 2017.
Production on the fourth season is scheduled to begin this fall in South Africa.

Of course they did. The show is awesome. Lots of action and fantastic characters too. The location of filming is stunning.

ahhh @Tyler.. so I mistyped... meant season 2... and how small is one's mind if they tell others to stop voicing their opinions? You may want to look inward a bit there buddy boy. I have just as much right to not like gay pirates as you have to emulate their antics. What I detest is the bait and switch the series pulled just to be "trendy". Flint wasn't gay in season 1.

.. gay pirates... who spend 90% of their time on land. ... yeah it started with a great deal of promise. Season 3 just blew... both literally and figuratively.
