The drama's first season gets a top up.

Supergirl received some good news today. CBS has extended the superhero drama's first season with an order of seven new episodes. That tops up its original order of 13 episodes to 20, which is just two shy of the typical "full" season of 22.
The Greg Berlanti series soared to a strong start for the network when it premiered in late October, drawing higher ratings than any of its other new fall entries. CBS is the latest network to add superhero fare to its lineup, joining Fox, which has Gotham, The CW, which has found success with Arrow and The Flash, and ABC, which airs Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.

Fyi, this show is gone after season one, cbs only agreed to one season and this genre is great but doesn't bring in the ratings their looking for on cbs

this is a great show!. It gets better each week. Supergirl is learning how to be a hero. And that's cool. She isn't acting stupid as one person said. I hope this one lasts. Girls need a superhero too.

I think they have super girl acting too stupid. I mean it's like she needs her sister to hold her hand for everything. I watched a few episodes, but I just can't get into it.

I remember the pilot. It was good. Continued watching. It's certainly good enough to keep me watching. I totally love the Ally character (the boss at the office) Can't spell her real name. Sorry. Good mixture of quirky and serious.

I almost don't want to watch it, because I know that the network is going to pull it, sooner than later. But, being a Sci-fi fan, I can't help myself. I'll give it a year and a half, perhaps two, before they (the writers) run out of view-worthy ideas and CBS yanks it. I give the network kudos for very good special effects.

It may be a bit cheesy at first glance but keep at it its fun, I like that Kara's mum was actualy Kal's Mum in Smallville Superman from the 90's was her Dad shame you couldn't get Laura Vandervoort as Super Girl she played a good Supergirl in Smallville If anyone remembers the Supergirl Movie from the 80's that Supergirl was just like this one querkie and insecure so good on U CBS
