The veteran drama has yet to get a premiere date.

There is some sad news for Person of Interest fans today, as word is out that the drama's upcoming season will probably be its last. Speaking on the show's future, executive producer J.J. Abrams said that he strongly suspects the story will conclude with Season 5, but noted that he believes there is a lot more story to tell were it to continue.
Observers have seen the writing on the wall for some time now, with CBS leaving Person of Interest off of this season's fall schedule and staying mum on its return. The show didn't even make the cut on the network's recently-released midseason slate, leaving many to question whether it would return at all.
A silver lining in all this is that it does appear Season 5 will make it to air sometime this year, though exactly when it anybody's guess. It's possibly more information will come out next week when CBS makes its presentation at TCA.

No cliff Hangers or rushed endings. Do it like we've come to expect on this great series. I will be along for the rest of this ride whether it ends, continues ,changes networks, or to a streaming service like HULU and Netflix.

When it comes to programming TV networks (especially the big 3) have to be some of the most stupidly run businesses ever. They renewed POI for season 5 but rather than air it and see what happens they've sat it on it to the point where it may likely lose many fans.
Not that fans matter as it's obvious that in many cases the Nielsen ratings don't give an accurate picture.

I was with them until they got all conspiracy theory on me. It was a good show the first 2 seasons. If they had stayed with 'crime fighting' it would have kept peoples attention. People can only handle so much weird.

If POI is making its last run on CBS, I hope a cable or streaming network will pick it up. Whatever story is left untold by JJ Abrams is worth seeing unfold. However, if no more POI anywhere, then a solid end story is to be hoped for. Would love to see the demise of Samaritan and the triumph of The Machine. Any other conclusion to this excellent drama would be pointless.
