CBS announced today that Madam Secretary has been renewed for a third season. The sophomore drama, which stars Téa Leoni as the Secretary of State, continues to be a solid part of the network's Sunday night lineup with healthy viewership numbers.
Along with Madam Secretary, CBS issued early renewals to six of its other veteran dramas including Hawaii Five-0, Elementary, Scorpion, Blue Bloods, NCIS: Los Angeles, and NCIS: New Orleans. The network's freshman dramas - including Supergirl, Code Black, and Limitless - are still awaiting their fates.

Tim Daly was recently given his very own little investigative team.
Monumentally boring! Blah-blah yak-yak. Flailing for dramatic intensity.
There is only so much fast-forwarding I can do. This has killed the series for me.
