The sophomore drama ends at Season 2.
May 14, 2016
NBC has cancelled The Mysteries of Laura after two seasons. The Debra Messing drama was a decent performer for the network, though its older-skewing audience affected its ratings in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
The series began its run in the fall of 2014 with a full 22-episode first season. NBC was more conservative with Season 2, cutting down its episode count to 16. Unfortunately for fans, the series finale in March ended on a bit of a cliffhanger that will now never be resolved.

Overall, not happy! We actually liked this show! However, the changes for season 2 we DID not like, especially Callie Thorne's abrasive character who turned us off, and made the cancellation a bit easier. I love Callie, but not in that role. Hopefully, the people replacing this show, Castle and Person of Interest will replace them with better shows. So much dreck on TV these days.

Shame, they should just keep it on instead of coming out with a new show next year that's exactly the same. The networks don't focus on the long run, which is why their loosing viewers to netflix, hulu, and amazon

Why would The Mysteries Of Laura cancel NBC on a cliffhanger. The Mysteries Of Laura should give NBC another season to tie up the ends. Oh right NBC was the network and The Mysteries was the show. The Network does not write the cliffhanger, the show does.
If a show writes a cliffhanger without a contract for the next season they are saying "We want to hold a network hostage. We understand that this may never get resolved but do not care. We don't care about the fans. We actually hate the fans." if The Mysteries Of Laura liked the fans it would not have pulled a cliffhater.

Thanks for nothing NBC. More time to spend watching Netflix. Better quality, no commercials.

Was I watching the same show? This show was terrible. Acting, writing, plot-wise. It was predictable and just offensive to even microscopic life. That's not hyperbole. Everyone says they will stop watching a network, yet will watch badly-written drek like this.

See you later NBC. This was the only show I watched on your network because you have cancelled all my other shows. I absolutely loved this show and I am very disappointed!

The problem with all these networks is that they only go out for and cater to the 18-49 demograhics. I'm 60 and my husband is 70 and we don't enjoy all those action hero or thriller shows. So what we in the 60+ group enjoy are the simple romantic type comedies. Apparently not enough of their 18-49 demographics watch which is why they usually get canceled. As we get older and our night eyesight gets worse we rather stay home at night and watch a great show. Oh well!

Last show i watched on nbc. Loved the dynamics of the show. Nbc gives up too really on good shows. At least cbs gives their shows a chance.
