The new drama gets a few more episodes.
November 1, 2016
NBC announced today that three more episodes have been ordered for the first season of Timeless. While the small pickup is good news for the freshman time travel drama, the added trio of episodes brings its total to just 16, which is less than what would typically amount to a full season.
While the first season of Timeless will be on the shorter side, it does reflect the recent trend of networks tailoring the length of a season to what best suits each show and how it is performing, rather than keep every show at the traditional 22 episodes. Breakout hit This Is Us, for example, will air 18 episodes in Season 1.
Timeless comes from creators Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan, and follows team of time travelers chasing down a mysterious criminal intent on changing the past in order to destroy America. The series has been a decent performer through its first five episodes following The Voice on Monday nights, though it hasn't been the breakout hit that others have been in the same time slot. Still, its viewership numbers rank it among the top new series on broadcast TV this fall.

I love this show. Likeable characters with interesting stories and plenty of humor. It's fun. I hope it gets a second season.

In the first episode they change the events of the Hindenburg. Later the woman characters mother is now alive. The show said that everything from 1937 to 2016 has changed. A few episodes later they go to the 60's. How can Lucy claim to be a historian when they changed history. She doesn't know if the facts are the same. Lucy's changing history is a major plot thread. Any episode set after June 1937 needs to use Lucy's catchphrase, "Ever Since we changed events on May 6th, 1937, I can not be sure of any facts after that date."
If you want to use time travel you must be ready to deal with it's plot holes. Also Don't ask questions to just to get us to wait for an answer. We won't wait.

Im still on the fence with this show.
who are the bad guys? who are the good guys? are the main character being used? what is the motivation of the perceived bad guys? what are the motivations of the folks forcing the perceived good guys to chase the perceived bad guys? will we even get a hint at some point??? so far its a bunch of bad acting around a bunch of actors who look nothing like their historical counterparts. At some point to keep me invested im going to need some answers other than.. mystery surrounds people randomly chasing others through time. Im also not the biggest fan of them bumbeling up history and changing it all willy nilly and it having no catastrophic consequences outside of their personal bubbles.

the fact this show is in peril while 2 Broke Girls gets good ratings proves the masses are weak minded.

Great Show. Really enjoyed the Alamo episode. Hopefully they keep the seasons short. Glad to see that the networks are starting to notice the better shows only have 10-15 episodes a season. That way you don't have a bunch of duds in between a couple good episodes.

I am enjoying this show to say the least....it amazes me how some other shows can carry on for SOOO long (ie Grimm - also on NBC) that show should have been pulled after the first two episodes. As far as Timeless goes, the story line is interesting and contrary to what another commented on here I am glad they do not go into intense detail in one time era. In my opninion that is not the story...they guy they are chasing is hopping all over time and they are following him. 16 Episodes is great, glad they are not pulling the plug too soon.

Love this show! It's a little Dr. Who meets Quantum Leap. My nerdy little heart is happy.
