The superhero ensemble will return in 2017-2018.
January 8, 2017
The CW announced today that DC's Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a third season. The action drama premiered early last year as an ensemble series featuring characters spun-off from Arrow and The Flash, which take place in the same shared universe. While its first season premiered as a mid-season entry, the show was moved to the network's regular fall lineup in Season 2.
Along with Legends of Tomorrow, The CW also renewed its four other returning fall dramas today. Picked up for the 2017-2018 season are The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and Supernatural. As for the network's freshman dramas, No Tomorrow and Frequency were absent from today's list of renewed shows. They likely will not be returning for a second season, but we won't know for sure until May.
