The superhero spin-off will return for Season 2.
March 11, 2016
The CW announced today that Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a second season. The freshman action series premiered in January as a mid-season entry featuring characters spun-off from Arrow and The Flash. With the three shows sharing the same universe, each can benefit from crossover episodes and special appearances by familiar faces.
Along with Legends of Tomorrow, The CW also renewed all 10 of its other series today. Picked up for the 2016-2017 season include The Originals, Reign, The Vampire Diaries, The 100, Jane the Virgin, Arrow, The Flash, iZombie, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Supernatural.

I do not disagree with the postings. I tend to like the "concept" of the show including the misfit band that has been assembled. I am hoping it's simply a first season of laying down the characters and plot lines so that they can then move forward.

I have watched 3 episodes of this series and they weren't in order....they cancel good stuff and then renew this misfit show lol that is laughable

This show has been sporadically interesting, but it just can't find its footing. The cast hasn't jelled yet. Part of the problem is that they went with a lot of stars familiar from other shows, but who don't really fit well so far.

I am also struggling hard with this one. DC is renoun for its inability to translate its comics into live action and I think I understand why now. Their charactors a designed for kids and once you have the mindset of a childs charactor, its really hard to make them believable in real life situations (think Muppets or Mickey Mouse cameoing on CSI...) Darvill is a great actor (we've seen him act) but even Im finding it hard to believe he's the least bit upset with the tragities of his life. Lotz and Renee are so 2D they could be interchangable now. Does anyone even care about Carter or Mick??? ... *sigh*... I'm going to continue to watch, but the dark magic of Arrow and (Nolans) Batman is completely missing in Season 1. Hopefully they can find their way with Season 2

I tried to like this... really.. but no matter how often I tune in, to me it comes across as "well, we've got these characters.... there must be something we can write using them." None of the characters seem strong enough on their own... and the chemistry just isn't there for me. But.. congrats to those that care about this show ;)
