The adventure drama will continue in 2019-2020.
January 31, 2019
The CW announced today that DC's Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for a fifth season. The superhero drama, which has continued to be a reliable and steady performer for the network on Monday nights, is currently in a mid-season break with the second-half of Season 4 returning in April.
Premiering in 2016 as an ensemble series featuring characters spun-off from Arrow and The Flash, the show takes place in the same shared DC Comics universe but with a time travel twist. While earlier seasons saw the legends taking part in crossover episodes with its sister shows, it has recently been staying in its own contained storylines.
The CW renewed all five of its DC superhero shows today, which means Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Black Lightning will also be returning for the 2019-2020 television season.

Used to like this show but this past season was horrible. Kinda wish Rip Hunter would come back or they get included with the crossover episodes again. This show is now more like the typical CW teen drama crap.

Got to give it to the cw.they must not care about ratings at all.no way a show with these kind of numbers makes it on a major network

Probably the most enjoyable DC show, glad it's renewed.

Wow - out of the last 20 (or actually more I think) shows that got renewed or cancelled, this is the only one I ever watched. Hi Suzanne! But I deleted my backlog of Legends a few weeks ago because it is really bad and I was low on disk space. (I also deleted Elementary as I had three times then number of shows and I realized I would never catch up.) Unfortunately, Legends was a no-brainer. Ok to watch as Suzanne described - ridiculous indeed.

As ridiculous as it is, I still enjoy this show when I'm tired and don't want to think. The cast changes are getting jarring though. Many more and I will give up, but for now, I'm still watching.
