It was announced today that Canadian comedy Schitt's Creek has been renewed for a fourth season. The series was picked up by both its home network up north, CBC, and by Pop for audiences in America.

Co-created by Eugene Levy and his son Daniel, the show follows a formerly-wealthy couple who are forced to rebuild their lives using their only remaining asset of a small town they purchased in the 90's as a joke.

The show has done quite well for Pop, becoming its most-watched 'Live+same day' original series, with each new season seeing an increase in viewership. The show's healthy performance was reflected in today's simultaneous renewal, which is a first for Pop. Previously the network has waited a few weeks before following CBC's pick up announcement.
