CBS announced today that The Big Bang Theory has been renewed for two additional seasons, which will take it to at least Season 12. Currently television's highest-rated comedy, the long-running series has been a consistent top performer for the network through its 200-plus episodes on the air.
Since its premiere in 2007, The Big Bang Theory has been winning over audiences and garnering critical acclaim like few other comedies ever have. More viewers have been tuning into the show since 2010 than any other comedy on TV, and it consistently leads the ratings among many key demographics.
The show's current 10th season has six episodes remaining before it concludes for the summer. Look for Season 11 to premiere in late September.

Glad to hear this show will be renewed. However, you won't see me watching the early years of Sheldon show. I really can't stand that guy. I can't binge watch TBBT more than 4 episodes because at the end of the 4th episode I'm wondering why someone hasn't knocked him silly. He's just annoying--there, Sheldon, I said it.

Glad to see that "Big Bang" got renewed. Despite the fact they made some character and plot changes, the show is still great.

Put a fork in it, it's done. Was once a good show and should have gone out with a....dare I say it? Bang! But now it seems the intent is to have it go out with a whimper.

I totally agree with A, this show needs to end. every single episode is exactly the same thing.. Sheldon does/says something insensitive, Amy gets mad, then Sheldon learns a lesson in the end, while various combinations of the rest of the cast sit around drinking and talking. I still watch the new ones too but now it's become more of a chore than something I actually want to do.

I have only watched a couple of episodes of this show and it was when I was up visiting my Dad years ago in Ohio. He loved this show so much! Now that he has recently passed, it put a smile on my face knowing how happy this would have made him. Congrats to TBBT.

I know a lot of people think the show has become lame. To each his own. I still enjoy it and I´d rather watch another two seasons of the real thing than one episode of the spin-off young Sheldon.
