The veteran procedural will return in 2017-2018.
May 10, 2017
NBC announced today that Chicago PD has been renewed for a fifth season. The veteran spin-off joins franchise-mates Chicago Fire and Chicago Med in being picked up for the 2017-2018 television season. Chicago Justice, the most-recent entry in the franchise, is still awaiting a decision on its fate.
The first spin-off of hit Chicago Fire, Chicago PD involves stories of the uniformed police patrol and intelligence unit that pursues the perpetrators of The Windy City's major street offenses. The series continues to be a reliable performer for the network year in and year out, and in 2018 will reach the impressive 100-episode milestone.

I Love me some CHICAGO PD, MED, and Fire. I am quite sure I will like Chicago Justice as well. I am deeply sadden by the departures of Elias Koteas and Sophia Bush. I wanted to see if Markie Post (Bunny)was going to fess up to Lindsey that Hank Voight was her biological father. Instead of giving her the names of other men. I am also sad that Gabriela is leaving Chicago Fire. I hope she crosses over to PD as a part of Intelligence with her brother, Antonio who is now a part of IA-Internal Affairs. I hope they bring Hank's daughter in-law back with the grandbaby. He needs someone to watch over him!

I really like PD. Yeah, started off hating Voight coming from Fire as you're probably supposed to, but I really like his character now.

I have to disagree with axel above if he has never watched the show why call it lame? Chicago shows have interested me since fire first came on in 2011 and PD is great as well and med is just awesome the lamest one though has to be justice it has its high points but mostly non interesting characters except nagel and Dawson the rest of the cast is bleh.

Yet another lame Dick Wolf show. Sigh.
