No Season 4 for the space drama.
May 10, 2018
It is being reported that Syfy has opted to cancel The Expanse after its current third season. The space opera is midway through its final 13-episode run, which will conclude in July.
No decision was given as to why the cable network is ending the series, which draws a healthy audience and has received continued critical acclaim. Word is that the production company behind the show, Alcon Television Group, will be shopping it around to potential buyers with hopes of continuing its story.
Based on the novel series of the same name by Daniel Abraham, The Expanse takes place two hundred years in the future, with mankind having colonized the solar system. A hardened detective and a rogue ship's crew work together in a race across the solar system to expose a conspiracy that threatens the survival of humanity.

First I had to say goodbye to Brooklyn 99 yesterday and now this!!! This was the best Sci-fi space-themed show on television right now. Dark matter was a close 2nd and Killjoys was a distant 3rd, look what show is still on though. The only problem I ever had with The Expanse was the short seasons and the time between seasons.

This network makes me mad, they cancel every show they put on pretty. Much, at least give us endings, like bitten, haven, and continuum got.

No! Why?
Let's hope Netflix picks it up, they seem interested in making some good sci fi.

"A few static shots of a spaceship per episode doesn't justify calling it that."
Spaceships are not the measure of what is or is not a sci fi show.

Yes it sucks that they cancelled this show but at least SyFy is not subjecting us to endless f'ing loops of the likes of 'Ghost Hunters' and 'Face Off' like they used to, lol.

Ffs. First Dark Matter now The Expanse. Hopefully they have better luck finding another network than Dark Matter had. Really want them to continue.

The ONLY reason I started to watch SyFy again was just because of The Expanse. Goodbye Syfy...
