The online giant has picked up Season 4 of the sci-fi drama.

Fans of The Expanse can breathe a sigh of relief tonight, as Amazon has saved the critically-acclaimed space opera from cancellation. While rumored for a few days now, the official announcement came tonight directly from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos at the National Space Society's International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles.
The outpouring from fans was quite substantial after they got wind that Syfy was passing on a fourth season of their favorite show. A #SaveTheExpanse campaign quickly gained momentum, including an online petition with over 130,000 signatures and a GoFundMe page which paid for an airplane banner that was flown over Amazon Studios in Santa Monica.
While revivals are still not overly common, the list of shows being brought back is growing at a rate never seen before. The speed of the decisions is also faster than ever. The Expanse took only two weeks to be saved, while earlier this month NBC revived comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine just one day after it was cancelled by Fox.
Season 3 of The Expanse on Syfy is just about half-way through its run, with the finale set for late June.

This is GREAT news! This is one of the best TV shows airing right now. The networks are becoming more irrelevant as Internet streaming slowly takes over. Nobody watches network (fake) news anymore-- as the people are (finally) realizing that it is just propaganda.

I loved Farscape. But it was cancelled 15 years ago, and they gave you a movie to end it. Even the Stargate shows are now very much ancient history as far as tv land goes. Only a few chosen shows ever come back from even a five year gap. Will and Grace, and Rosanne. Are among the few that ever came back from a 10+ year gap. There are others but they are few and far between.

@Ed G Thanks for the responses - especially for managing to get your lighthearted tone across. That isn't always easy in print. Now I just have to go to YouTube. Oh, and yes, I do know "download."
@ted I guess I better look up android box too.

@ted (05/30/18): It is "would have" *not* "would of". Learn proper grammar.

I can't believe anyone can live without a firestick/android box everything at your fingertips and load it yourself really easy don't get ripped off by the fully loaded conmen
I would of preferred them to of renewed Lucifer instead of this well better show

Oh and "side load" pretty much means "download." Dont let tech jargon scare you. Usually some really new, techie sounding jargon has a corresponding word to compare it to that even the LEAST tech smart people should be able to understand. However, if you dont know what "Download" means by now...there might not be any hope for you :-)
