The comedy will return this fall.

Word is out this morning that ABC has renewed Speechless for a third season. Star Minnie Driver took to Twitter with good news, which comes a little over a month after the comedy's sophomore season finale.
The half-hour series has been a pretty good performer for the network as part of its comedy lineup on Wednesday nights. While its Season 2 ratings aren't quite what they were during its freshman run, the show still draws a fairly consistent audience week after week.
Speechless stars Mini Driver as a devoted mother who puts her husband and three kids first, one of whom - her eldest child - has special needs. As she battles injustices, both real and perceived, the family looks for a fresh start after moving into their new home.
Word is that 22 episodes have been ordered for Season 3, which is an increase of four over Season 2. Look for a premiere this fall.
THIS JUST IN: #spechless picked up for a 3rd season HA! Brilliant. Couldn’t be happier 🎈✨🎈✨

But the kids are growing up fast. That usually spells death for family based sitcoms.
I Love this show. Every single cast member is doing a fantastic job.

You might want to fix that for Renewed for season 3.
