No Season 4 for the novel-based drama.
May 14, 2018
It looks like it's the end of the road for Hap and Leonard, as SundanceTV has cancelled the drama after three seasons. John Wirth, who executive produces and writes on the show, took to Twitter this evening with the sad news.
The novel-based anthological series premiered in 2016 and went on to become the cable network's top-rated original series. It also fared well with critics, garnering positive reviews across the board.
Based on Joe R. Lansdale's book series of the same name, Hap and Leonard follows a pair of best friends and amateur investigators who end up on different adventures while working to solve crimes in the late 1980s.
The series finale aired on April 11.

Should have figured. A show with great plot, perfect actors, a compelling story, and dedicated fans is worthless to a tv network.

how can this show be cancelled? 6 episodes per year, only 2 recurring characters, could not be that expensive to make. real shame. PS there are 20 something books to use as stories.

This was a great show.. well Season 1 was great.. season 2 was okay.. season 3 felt like they were stretching. I thought I read a year ago that it was a forgone conclusion that season 3 would be the last. Guess this is merely the "official" announcement.

If you are on a obscure. Channel canceling a shoe anyone watches makes. No sense.

Damn that sucks. One of my favorite shows on tv right now. Humorous but it still had stakes, often genuinely surprising and tense, and the chemistry between Hap and Leonard was wonderful.
