The pop culture reality series ends after seven seasons.
June 25, 2018
It looks like Comic Book Men has reached the end of the road. Star and producer Kevin Smtih confirmed the sad news on his Instagram story yesterday, with a graphic stating the show has been cancelled, and a note referring fans to his podcast network, SModcast, for more on the story.
The long-running series premiered in 2012 and became a late-night staple on the cable network during its seven-season run. The show's final episode aired on April 8 - it was its 96th overall episode, which leaves it just four short of reaching the 100-episode milestone.
Filmmaker, director, and actor Kevin Smith owns comic shop "Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash" in Red Bank, NJ, where the series is filmed. A comic book fanboy himself, Smith partakes in daily banter with the store's staff and its customers as they discuss all aspects of pop culture artifacts and iconic celebrities from the fanboy world. Memorabilia is bought and sold, and adventures are had away from the store, all of which is shared by the men of The Stash with Kevin via their podcast, which is woven throughout the show's episodes.

Shame. At least you can still get Walt and bry on the tell em steve Dave podcast with q from impractical jokers. Or mike and Ming on qe sell comics.

It's your opinion to wrap it up. They can always add new characters as old ones quit the show. They will continue spinoff series for years as well. Anyways economically cancelling cheap shows that make you money is foolish. And it wasn't kevin smith who wanted this gone. He was not happy about it.

Damn, another good show bites the dust. As a casual comic book/graphic novel and pop culture fan, it was always amazing to learn about the history and evolution of the industry. I loved seeing the passion and respect Kevin, Walt, Mike, Ming, & Bryan (in his own sarcastic way) had for the industry and it's HUGE fanbase.

No. I really enjoyed the show. Loved watching the people come in trying to sell items.

@Aethn Do some research. AMC cancelled the show, the majority of the cast would have been happy to continue. It's about money, not KS's health.

Really Michael? You want the walking dead to go on for years? I've watched since day one and even with that being said. It's time to wrap that show up.

Might be related to Kevin Smith's health, he almost died this year so he might not want to continue for health reasons.

It figures! Why do all the good "nerdy" shows get canceled?

I really liked this show. The guys were nice and the guests were cool. Of course it was 'reality' tv. But it was a good watch and it had humor. They put this show on at midnight in the east and 10 pm here in the Rockies. How was that good programming? It is a cheap show to make too. AMC, blew it here. Cheap show to make, they never had any problem with commercials on it did t hey? , A cast that was not going anywhere, they could have easily put this show on throughout the week. That fills spots and you have a new show throughout that week to fill open spots. SO. amc has once again blown it. I wonder how much longer 'the walking dead' has left?. I hope years but....
