The Kevin Costner drama will return for Season 2.
July 24, 2018
Just four episodes into its freshman run, Paramount Network has announced that Yellowstone has been picked up for a second season. The good news reflects a solid start to the new drama, which become the cable network's most-watched original scripted series after averaging 2.8 million viewers (live+same day) for its 2-hour premiere.
Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, who are owners of a Montana ranch that is the largest of its kind in America. Led by patriarch John, the Duttons constantly contend with attacks from land developers, conflicts with the country's first national park, and tense encounters with a neighboring Indian reservation. But through it all, they relentlessly fight to keep their land in the family.
10 episodes have been ordered for Season 2 of Yellowstone, which will return in 2019.

I'd be nihilistic if it mattered, it was created by Taylor Sheridan who worked on Sons of Anarchy so that's probably why it has an SOA feel to it.

ok show. I almost gave up after 2 episodes, but it gets a little better each week. not the best show, not the worst. good enough way to kill an hour each week.

What is the Paramount network?

Well this is more akin to Sons of Anarchy with cowboys... In fact, it's pretty much exactly that.. rather than club colors.. they are branded. Rather than rival clubs, there's the natives. So yeah it's slow at times.. peppered with important story developments....

I watched first 2 hour episode and thought it was going well enough - for awhile. Then it got rather slow but ended with some shooting I think. Maybe it’ll be ok or good but it didn’t get me. It reminded me of one or two other drama series that I bailed on because I didn’t find them interesting enough.

Excellent news. Nice to have a show that is NOT a Cop/Lawyer/Fire/EMT/Reality show for once.

So far so good. A tad slow for a weekly melodrama but still good. Actually kind of nice to see a non-pay cable network actually tell censors to take a hike and realistically portray some stuff.

It is a solid show. Costner really makes this show work too. Good news!
