The Kevin Costner drama will continue in 2020.
June 19, 2019
Ahead of tonight's sophomore premiere, Paramount Network announced today that Yellowstone has been picked up for a third season. The early renewal indicates that the network is anticipating another strong run from its sole scripted drama series, which was last year's most-watched new show on cable despite a mixed critical reception.
The series follows the Dutton family, who are owners of a Montana ranch that is the largest of its kind in America. Kevin Costner plays patriarch John, who leads the Duttons as they constantly contend with attacks from land developers, conflicts with the country's first national park, and tense encounters with a neighboring Indian reservation as they fight to keep their land in the family.
Another 10 episodes have been ordered for Season 3 of Yellowstone, which will return in 2020.

Glad its renewed because I like Kevin Costner but the storylines are all over the place. Not well written but has potential. What is the deal with Beth and her brother Jamie? The only downside to this past season is they didn't kill Beth off. A bully that doesn't stand up for family no matter what deserves to be put down. Addition of Josh Holloway sounds awesome, hope he has a big part.

This is the highest rated show on cable. It blows SOA out of the water. Best show on tv!

This show is in a completely different class than Sons of Anarchy. SoA was completely unwatchable. Yellowstone is a fantastic show with amazing cinematography and writing. Paramount has hit a home run with this one.

Meh.. it's okay... but it's really not deserving of the praise it has gotten. It's a run-of-the-mill decent drama. Sort of at the level of Sons of Anarchy or similar. Worth watching, but if you missed season 1.. you'll be QUICKLY left behind unless you catch up.

Love this show. Great to have a series out of the city and into the open country.

After watching the first episode of the second season, I have my doubts.
[Spoiler alert]
I didn't like the convenient plot twist where Costner's character was found to have a curable ulcer instead of the terminal colon cancer which motivated a lot of his actions in the first season. I guess he will be around for a while longer.

Good show. Hope they can create enough "story" to hold our interest. Not sure how far this can go without getting bogged down.
