ABC has reportedly added four additional episodes to the first season of A Million Little Things, bringing its total up to 17. Considered to be a full-season top-up, the order size is close to the three additional episodes fellow rookie Manifest got from NBC last week.
The hour-long series follows a group of Boston friends who have known each other for 10 years since unexpected circumstances brought them together. Since then, they have all ended up feeling stuck in their lives for better or worse. After one of them unexpectedly passes away, it acts as a wake-up call for the others in the group to finally start living their lives to the fullest.
Through its first five episodes, A Million Little Things has garnered decent ratings in the 10:00pm time slot on Wednesday nights. It has been pulling in a steady 0.8 overnight rating among adults 18-49 in the weeks following its premiere, which garnered a 1.1.

Now that it has received this small top off, I watched the episodes in my folder. I was shocked to discover that after the 1st episode I was ready to go straight to the 2nd and ...I actually enjoyed it, but I don't know how ling that will last.
Before the season began I really thought it would be the first drama cancelled. I'm glad for the cast and crew's sake that it has found a consistent audience.
If you have extra time, this might surprise you and be worth checking out. If your time is tight, there are probably other shows more worthy of your time.
