The drama's final run premieres this summer.
April 8, 2019
It was announced today that the upcoming fourth season of Preacher will be its last. Co-creator Seth Rogen broke the news on his Twitter account, with a post that also announced a return date for the comic book-adapted drama's final run.
Based on DC Comics' Vertigo comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, Preacher follows a conflicted, small-town Texas preacher who is accidentally possessed by a supernatural entity that causes him to develop a highly unconventional power allowing him to command others to do as he says. Joined by his ex-girlfriend and an Irish vagabond, he sets out on a journey to literally find God.
The fourth and final season of Preacher will premiere on Sunday, August 4 on AMC.

Have the episodes aired? did I miss this? Where did you see it Mike? If they have not aired then the creators have a chance to make an ending. Good or bad is up to them, but at this point they can make an ending.

Mike dobey -- they hinted at this last year and I think they may have already known this was there last season, so there may be hope for a good ending (fingers crossed). I hope so because this has been such an interesting show, great cast and wild storylines. Loved very season.

That's fine with me. The show wandered around in season 2 without a lot of focus.

@Mike dobey - Thanks. I missed that. Well, we can hope they wrap it up... If not, a very disappointing end to a great start of a show.

Amc does it again. As the episodes are all filmed , lime into the badlands , there will be no ending. This sucks.

Preacher really went really off the rails. S1 was brilliant. S2, interesting. This needs to end, and happy it is getting an ending. BTW, writers and producers -- please see that it has a REAL ending too... not some confusing, anti-climax garbage that is justified as "thought provoking." Thanks!
