The veteran cop drama to end after 10 years on the air.
February 28, 2020
CBS announced today, somewhat surprisingly, that after 10 seasons Hawaii Five-0 is coming to an end. The sad news arrives with just a handful of episodes remaining in the rebooted drama's now-final season.
Ranking as the network's current fourth-longest-running drama, the cop series has been a fairly reliable Friday night staple, where it has been airing for the past six years. A re-imagining of the classic police procedural that aired from 1968 to 1980, Hawaii Five-0 follows Officer Steve McGarrett, who has returned to Hawaii to join up with Danny Williams as part of an elite branch of the Hawaii Police Force.
With such short notice, it is not clear if the series will end with a proper finale. The network has slated Friday, April 3 for the final episodes to air as part of a 2-hour closer. The 10-season run for this reboot of Hawaii Five-0 was impressive, but it ultimately failed to outlast the original, which ran for 12 seasons.

Whhhhhhhhyyyyyyy??????? I have never missed an episode. I loved the chemistry between the cast, especially Steve and Danny! They always sounded like an old married couple, always bickering and going back and fourth. But they always showed up for one another... no matter what. The show will be greatly missed just like many other shows being cancelled. It's such a shame. It really made our Friday nights.

the rest of the cast could carry on with a new leader ?? Just sayin' !! At least Steve and Kathryn found each other again !!

I just watched the series finale. It’s a shame it had to be canceled it was one of my favorite shows. It’s a shame Alex No Loughlin didn’t want to do it anymore. They should I had it that he had a long lost son it would take over the place of him. The person that could have replaced him looks just like him almost his name is Matthew I Atkinson From the bold and the beautiful. Where he plays Thomas Forrester now on CBS.

please ban tim and john from commenting here if they insist on posting offtopic discussion not even related to the post, this is about tv shows, not about BS politics, goto a politics forum, or reddit for that, we want to see replies about the show, having to weed through BS posts by john and tim gives us all headaches.

Its a shame that they had to kill this show, but to be honest - I haven't watched since they 'lost' DDK and Grace Park.. to me they created some balance on the show and much needed depth. It was stupid to just not pay both of them fairly as they were clearly major contributors to the show..
At least we got 10 seasons before some idiot exec screwed it all up.

What does this show have to do with the THE ORANGE ONE(trump) not one thing. But I do wonder how many Americans died from the outbreak that voted for the ORANGE ONE. What was his slogan again? Greatly kill Americans again, or make America great again? Leave it to the ORANGE ONE to mix the too up. My mistake everybody I liked the show as a action cop show, but not as a remake. They should do a spin off of Daniel Dae Kim character(aka Johnny Gat) Chin Ho Kelly getting his own task force in San Francisco.Sorry to see the show go

I saw this coming last season after realizing that there was absolutely no chemistry between the cast. If they had just forked over the money for DDK and Grace Park to stay on, they may not have had to cancel.

@Nudnik It's not politics, it is social commentary.
