Danno and crew will be back on the beat for 2012-2013.

CBS has picked up a third season of Hawaii Five-0, it was announced today. The sophomore series has been holding up decently ratings-wise in its second season, averaging roughly a 2.6 in the 18-49 demographic vs. the 3.0 it earned in Season 1.
Other dramas renewed by CBS today include The Good Wife, Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, CSI, Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods, The Mentalist, and both installments of NCIS.
Still waiting on news of their fates are CSI:Miami, CSI:NY, A Gifted Man, and Unforgettable. While not yet considered cancelled, the future of these series does not look very promising at this point.

Season one was great. Season two has been horrible and now Steve is a crackhead. Why renew a show that only puts out one new episode per month?

Sequels are not equals. In Hollywood, the second time around is usually one time too many. This remake, with it's 'updated' script complying with political correctness--required in media offerings these days--Hawaii Five-0 lines up with every other television show, bleating 'equality' and depicting strong female roles, or else...
You can't keep packaging a one-size-fits-all milieu of characterizations in television shows. Somewhere along the way, reality must prevail, and people can just watch a show without being reminded that they're supposed to adhere to the notion that a 100 pound female can beat up a football team. Besides, we all know that if these women WEREN'T shoehorned into these jobs, the REAL plot would entail the legal system forcing public entities to hire them.
