The dramedy will end its run later this month.
April 14, 2020
Reports are out that CBS has cancelled God Friended Me after two seasons. The sad news comes as the dramedy winds down its sophomore run, with planned back-to-back episodes on April 26 now set to act as its series ender.
The hour-long show premiered in 2018, garnering decent viewership that ranked it as one of the top new broadcast shows that season despite mixed reviews. But falling ratings in Season 2 could not justify bringing it back for a third outing. Word is, though, that the writers were given advanced notice of the move, which enabled them to craft a fitting end to the story.
God Friended Me follows New York podcast host Miles Finer, who is an outspoken atheist. When he randomly receives a friend request from God on Facebook, it starts him down the path of becoming an agent of change in the lives and destinies of people around him.

I actually really loved the show. Even if it was a little saccharine, Touched by an Angel-like, it was beautiful! Simply feel good. I'm sorry to see it go....

Good. Glad this ridiculousness is out of here. Waste of Network bandwidth.

Thanks Charlie for reminded me about Touched by an Angel. My xfinity/Comcast remote showed me that Season 2 is now playing on Hallmark Drama. I will be recording and watching those.

While this show had its issues, (some of the actors could have been better and the plots and characters could have been better developed), but this was a nice "feel good" show with a genuine sweetness to it. A nice relief. The first season was definitely better than the second so I've been anticipating that it would not get a third season. Glad we'll be getting an actual series finale.

Touche Michael Dobey! I've commented on this show before never being interesting enough and me being on the fence as to whether to keep watching it or not. Thank you CBS for eliminating that fence for me. The show could have been so much better but every episode dragged on needlessly to its obvious conclusion. I will watch the remaining episodes that are recorded on my DVR because I'm stupidly loyal that way. But, I bid this show a very fond farewell.

I've wrote a show called Beating Up The Kardashians it involves a different cast every week with baseball bats playing hide and seek with them and when they find them well do I need to explain.
