The acclaimed drama will return in 2021.

USA Network announced today that The Sinner has been picked up for a fourth season. The good news comes less than three months after the acclaimed drama wrapped Season 3, which again drew healthy ratings for the cable network.
Premiering in 2017, the show was first billed as a limited, close-ended series, but its solid performance has changed that. Now each season focuses on an all-new crime with star Bill Pullman's Detective Ambrose acting as the perennial lead on each case.
Look for Season 4 of The Sinner in 2021.

Bomer was great acting which made it to real. I didn't like the latter part of the first season when the girls went with the degenerate guys - that was probably too real too. Before that I liked it.

Funny, I thought it was about a love affair with the idea of death. I guess there are different interpretations of it, although I did watch the entire season so I feel like I may have a better understanding.

Saying I don't want to watch a story about gay angst makes me homophobic. And that's 100% what it was about, That was laid out as the circumstance in which the friend was killed and Bomer was shown not to be attracted to his wife. Of course you can't make out with a dead guy, But maybe you can, Z. In fact I'm sure YOU can.

Steve S., your homophobia is outdated and more than a little telling. And ironically, in this situation, it's even misplaced. There was no gay relationship in this season, it was simply about a close friendship. Just thought I'd set the record straight.

Wow! I forgot USA Network had any shows. I watched only the first season of Sinner although I did start with season 3 but made a quick exit when the plot centered on nauseating gay angst. And this is all the USA ripoff network has got. Crying shame.

Season 1 was… ok (would have been pretty good if it wasn't so sloooow), but I gave up on this show during season 2.

@Sara - Ha! :) Season 1 wasn't good either, not just the "last two". :) -- Sometimes it really mystifies me how horribly written shows remain on the air... money to burn I guess. Or Pullman REALLY wants a TV show and doesn't have better offers. "Critically acclaimed" also makes me laugh.. as if "critics" have EVER been inline with the populous.
