No Season 3 for the sci-fi drama.
August 26, 2020
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Altered Carbon after two seasons. The sad news comes six months following the release of the sci-fi drama's 8-episode sophomore run. There was also a prequel anime film released in March.
Based on novels by Richard K. Morgan, the series takes place hundreds of years in the future, in a society that has been transformed by technology in completely new ways. Human bodies are interchangeable and consciousness can be digitized and transferred from body to body, making death a temporary inconvenience.

I loved the books. They shouldn't have skipped book 2. Much lower budget this season too.

Season 2 just felt generic. It didn’t have that noir feel that season 1 had. Plus, Anthony Mackie just can’t carry a show.

Anthony Mackie was just not good enough. I’m going to miss this show.

I agree that season 1 was much better then season 2 but I still really liked this show a lot and am mad that it was canceled. Seems like Netflix is canceling a ton of great shows lately.

That's just dumb. Altered Carbon was really good.

Glad to see I wasn't alone in my belief that season 1 was awesome and season 2 was terrible....
