A sci-fi drama based on the Richard K. Morgan novel of the same name.
300 years from now, society has been transformed by technology in completely new ways. Human bodies are interchangeable and consciousness can be digitized and transferred from body to body, making death a temporary inconvenience.
Takeshi Kovacs is the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned for centuries until Laurens Bancroft, an immensely-wealthy and long-lived man, offers him the chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs has to solve the murder of Bancroft himself.

The author hopes he can produce season 3 elsewhere. Maybe he should try another studio?

Season 1 was some of the best sci fi I've seen in years, season 2 was trash.

Shiw is amazing but I'm upset joek is out already. I understand hes supposed to have different sleeves but Joel Kinnaman did such a good job that he is the only one who can play tak, at least for the longest. He did a better job then the guy whose supposed to be the original. I could see doing other sleeves for some of it, like Anthony Mackie for a little bit, but they really need to go back to joel and have him back in that body. Or they should've kept him as joel longer for a few seasons before switching him into another. Cant believe they're only doing 1 season with joel as tak. Such a disappointment, bring joel back!!!!

If you read the books the main character goes through many bodies (sleeve changes) be cause it's so easy to switch, they often mistreat the bodies they are using. (Introduced slightly with the fight scene between the husband and wife at the fancy party) No real fan would be surprised at a lead change every season.
What I will watch for in seasons upcoming is can the new actor pull off the stylings of the first... as theoretically it's the same guy in a different body.
Also I expect flash backs. Kovacs is like 200+ years old. So we should see flashes of the past sleeves.

As a fan of the book, I'm already disappointed in the character changes so far. I can only hope they didn't butcher the main plot too badly. As for monk_juice; it's an original work by Morgan that is pretty good. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece of literature, but it has a few new ideas and is decent for some "fun" reading.
