No Season 4 despite previous renewal.
October 5, 2020
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled GLOW after three seasons, reversing its original decision to renew the acclaimed comedy for a fourth and final season that was supposed to air sometime this year.
The sad news arrives over 14 months after the half-hour series aired its Season 3 finale - which will now serve as its series ender. Over the course of its run, the show garnered critical praise for its smart, but campy, storytelling and its strong ensemble cast.
Today's cancellation is the latest in a growing trend of networks walking back renewals months after handing them out due to changing circumstances - most of which have been attributed to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. GLOW was a few weeks into filming Season 4 when production was shutdown in March.
Based around the 1980s phenomenon "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling", GLOW stars Alison Brie as Ruth Wilder, an actress in Los Angeles who, in an attempt to keep her dream of stardom alive, takes a gig portraying a female wrestler on a TV show. This thrusts her into the world of wrestling stardom alongside a group of Hollywood misfits, lead by a washed-up B-movie director who joins them on their journey to fame.

Finally got around to watching season 3. Was ok, but not at the level of the first two. Typical Netflix though cancelling shows without a proper wrap up.

Wow. I was just wondering on when the new season would come out. The 3rd season was pretty bad, but I at least anticipated a redeemed final season.

The first season was excellent. The second season was good. I didn't watch the 3rd season as I cancelled Netflix somewhat over protest of them cancelling other shows I liked with cliffhangers and somewhat because I just had too many subscriptions and not enough time to watch everything anyway. Was planning on picking up Netflix again for a month or two and this was one of the shows I planned on binge watching though even though the reviews of season 3 were rather "meh".

It was good the first couple seasons. Season 3 was rather drab... it somewhat concluded at that... they'd have had to stretch to make any 4th season work anyway given where the story was. It really won't be missed here... but that first season is definitely rewatchabe.

Looking at that cast photo I can see why.

Bummer my wife & I really liked this show. Would have watched that closing season. What’s going on Netflix you cancel shows like this but give us crap like Cutties. May need to rethink staying I already have other streaming services.

I was happy when they said it would get a final season... so much for that.

Well, that sucks, but it's not really surprising.
