Peacock announced today that A.P. Bio has been picked up for a fourth season. The good news comes three months after the comedy released Season 3, which was its first on the streaming service.

Created by Mike O'Brien and produced by Seth Meyers, the comedy premiered on NBC in 2018 as a mid-season entry that ultimately garnered mixed reviews and underwhelming viewership. While it was renewed for Season 2, its sophomore run did not improve its ratings fortunes and it was eventually axed.

Peacock stepped in last summer to revive the half-hour series and make it the first confirmed original on the service. Season 3 returned in September to overall positive reviews, though its audience numbers are not known.

A.P. Bio follows a philosophy scholar who, after losing out on his dream job, takes a position as a high school Advanced Placement Biology teacher. But he has plans far beyond teaching biology, including using his classroom full of honor roll students to help him mentally break his job-stealing nemesis and win back the position that he feels is rightfully his.

Look for Season 3 of A.P. Bio in 2021.
