February 3, 2021
The CW announced today that Batwoman has been renewed for a third season. The good news comes three episodes into the drama's sophomore run, which got off to a later than normal start due to the ongoing pandemic.
Set in the same universe as The CW's other superhero shows, Batwoman takes place years after Batman mysteriously disappeared from Gotham, leaving the city to fall into despair. When the Alice in Wonderland gang wreaks havoc, Kate Kane returns home to help her city, becoming the dark knight vigilante known as Batwoman.
Original star Ruby Rose departed the series after Season 1, but the show found a new lead in Javicia Leslie, who plays an undisciplined fighter who becomes the new Batwoman after find the batsuit in the wreckage of a plane crash.
Look for Season 3 of Batwoman to premiere as part of the 2021-2022 television season.

This show has been BAD since its debut. Even The main character is weak regardless of who is playing the role. Supergirl is even better than is garbage!!!

I had very low expectations for the 2nd season. I like the new girl. I am going to continue for a few more episodes and hope they can move forward at a quicker pace than The Flash, which takes 20 episodes to tell a 4-6 episode story.

I'm done with this show. The whole Crazy Sister Alice storyline is boring and makes the whole show unwatchable.

Im trying really hard to like it, but, like Supergirl, its becoming more about the political agenda than actual storyline. Taking itself way too serious to be... well, serious... I love the premise of a street girl becoming the Bat, but this girl is way to mellow to be a gritty crime/street fighter - at least on the path they are taking her... Ill give it a couple of more episodes to sort out, but i doubt ill waste my time with next season...

I not surprised that it got another season. It's still a good show even though they have a different batwoman.

The ratings for this show are abysmal! How do you justify renewing a show that does not raise generate enough advertising revenue to pay the actors and the crew. The CW must be running their network with government hand outs!

@JH You think it got renewed because of the black female lead? LMAO CW damn near renew ANY and everything. (not everything..*black lightning* - which btw got no "ruckus" when it got canned). Now anyways.. the show should've deadass ended after s1 hell even mid season (Ruby couldn't act.. and the new girl hmm idk..) show is lowkey trash.. but I'm not hating ig somebody likes it.. so good for the people who enjoy this show

This is straight up proof CW is desperate for content right now. This show has tanked so hard in the ratings in season to the Titanic is looking like a vacation spot on the sea floor right now. This show is really terrible now.

Only because if they had canceled it right after they put a black woman in there, it would have caused a lot of....Ruckus.
