Netflix announced today that Castlevania will be coming to an end after its upcoming fourth season. Along with the news, the streaming giant released a trailer and set a premiere date of May 13 for the animated drama's final 10-episode run.
The half-hour series premiered in 2017 as Netflix's first original anime series. It was an instant hit with fans and garnered high critical acclaim. Subsequent seasons have also been met with similar sentiments. The show will have a total of 32 episodes under its belt when all is said and done.
Based on the legendary video game franchise, Castlevania is a dark, medieval fantasy that chronicles the journey of the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan fighting to save a besieged Eastern European city from extinction at the hand of Dracula and his army of otherworldly beasts.

Great show. It is getting a ending and that is good.

I love this show but I'm ok with it ending. Too many shows drag on when it's time to wrap it up. This one is really well done so I'd rather it go out high then falter and become a borefest.

The first season had me hooked. The second season was mostly boring, but the plot still moved forward. The third was boring and pointless filler until the fight at the end. Then Warren Ellis got MeToo’d and quit writing and I knew it would probably only had one more season, if that.

its a great series overall especially for anime/video game fans. I think 4 seasons is about right. The story can't really go on forever.

This makes me sad. I was shocked at how well done Netflix created this adaptation, and the other series of entertaining video-game to television projects from them. Considering the array of storylines and sudden cancellation, i hope this has an actual conclusion though. It would be a sorry way to end it...

I loved season 1, but season 2 bored me out of my mind, never finished it.

Sad it's ending as a fan of the video games, but maybe it's best to go out on a high note.
