NBC announced today that Kenan has been renewed for Season 2. The good news comes just days following its freshman finale, which wrapped a decent debut run for the new comedy.
Airing Tuesday nights at 8:30pm after 'Young Rock', the half-hour series hasn't quite found the success of its lead-in, though its ratings often hold their own against other competition in the time slot. Ahead of today's pickup, the show had been seen as a toss-up for renewal.
Kenan follows the titular single father who's doing his best to balance his career as a popular morning show host in Atlanta with raising his two lively young daughters. While his father-in-law and his brother are always offering to help, they usually find a way to make things a whole lot worse.
Look for Season 2 of Kenan as part of the 2021-2022 television season.

Wow, the worst new sitcom this season along with Call me Kat. Couldn’t finish the first episode of neither show.

I watch because the cast is likable but I have to confess the storylines are stupid. I hope it gets better.

Wow! This show is terrible! The Moodys woulda done great on NBC.. Way better than this piss poor show..
