The military drama is moving to a new home this year.
May 18, 2021
It was announced today that SEAL Team has been officially picked up for a fifth season. It won't be on CBS though - at least not all of it - as the military drama will be on the move to Paramount+ after its first few episodes start things off on CBS this fall.
The hour-long series had been seen as on-the-bubble for a renewal, so today's move to the streaming service likely helped it secure Season 5 - though some longtime fans will likely be disappointed in its departure from broadcast network television.
SEAL Team follows an elite unit of Navy SEALs composed of a tight-knit group of patriots with fearless dedication. Deployed on clandestine ops around the world, its members embark on these dangerous, high-stakes missions knowing the toll it takes on themselves and their families.

Gee I wonder what ''reality'' shit will take its place.

Can anyone who takes the time to watch tv actually afford all these various streaming services. Cable alone is breaking me! Even the British shows split into Acorn and Britbox. Everyone seems as annoyed as I am so how are all these pay services succeeding? It seems like every time I hear about a show that I want to check out, I have to pay to do it.
I was trying to decide whether to keep watching SEAL team. I haven't really liked it since they killed off the wife way back when. I have my answer. At least it will leave more space on my Tivo.

Why do they take everything good and put it on an expensive streaming service??? So not cool! I LOVE this show and now it's cancelled for me. Streaming is not an option everywhere. Not everyone lives in one of the giant cities. I hate streaming. Taking 3 hours to watch a half hour show with all the buffering and crashing and reloading is such a pain that it's not worth it. And I even live in a city, just not LA or NY or Chicago, and have Xfinity. Yet streaming is horrible. This is a terrible move and I'll never get to see one of my favorite shows ever again. Why are they doing this? All the best stuff gets moved or cancelled leaving the garbage behind for decades. You'd think these companies would want viewers, yet they make sure most viewers can't watch, then they wonder why they lose money.

I'm glad this is on streaming...it means no commercials. Anyone complaining about this while also paying to expensive cable, your age is showing. Get a Roku or something similar and stop paying for cable if it's that bad.

I'm not doing streaming. Not paying to watch a couple show per service. Now after investing 4 years another show that for me is basically canceled. And why start the first few episodes on CBS. Either you're going to watch it or not. Why don't they move the reality shows to streaming.

Damn it!!! They pull a very good original show from live tv!!! They better keep SWAT live!!! Cbs needs to hire a big group of young fresh writers to create DIFFERENT new shows.
Honestly, how many csi, ncis, (and law & orders) do we need!!! Now I do like the FBI shows and was debating on cutting them off after this season. Now that next falls lineup is not as strong as 2 years ago, I may keep em.

It's one of my favorite shows. Since it's on the bubble in viewership I'm glad CBS is willing to try it on streaming instead of cancelling it all together. Since CBS/Paramount has Star Trek no issues with me going that platform.
