No Season 5 for the crime dramedy.
June 25, 2021
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Good Girls. The sad news comes a month before the crime dramedy wraps its fourth season, meaning its finale on July 22 will now serve as its series ender.
The hour-long show premiered in early 2018, performing reasonably well in its mid-season time slot. Since then it has gone on to be a reliable spring entry for the network, and has also found its share of viewers in its second run on Netflix.
Good Girls follows three suburban mothers fed up with barely making ends meet. Wanting to change their fortunes, they rob a local grocery store together. But when they get identified and the stolen loot ends up being more than they expected, the three friends soon realize that they are in too deep and their lives may never be the same.
Five episodes remain before the series finale, but unfortunately it sounds as if the ongoing storyline will not have a proper conclusion. Producer Universal Television will also not be looking to find it a new home.

It didn't fit their agenda. Good Girls was nothing but an entertaining show that wasn't pushing the agenda they wanted them to push on the audience. And yet more Dick Wolf/Vagina Dog keeps on blowing.

shame on you NBC!! ALSO, how difficult would it be to end this show? dean cuts an immunity deal to get rio, just when they catch rio, he's killed. now dean is free, rio is dead, and everyone is off the hook. you're welcome, writers.
NBC is trash

Guess they're making room for more Dick Wolf shows and awful sitcoms. This is why I hate NBC.

I never watched because the premise sounded more like a one and done movie than a recurring TV series. What the networks need to do is agree to a set amount of seasons and give the fans a proper ending. Even if they decide to shorten the number of seasons, wrap up the story and end it properly!! THIS is why I don't watch new shows (dramas) anymore!!

I love it! This quickly turned into one of the dumbest shows. I watched 1 & 1/2 seasons and just had to stop because I couldn't handle the ridiculousness of it any longer. Ever since, all I've done is wonder how ppl could continue to watch this garbage. I guess they couldn't. Smiles

NBC canceled the last remaining network scripted shows I watch- Debris, Manifest, Zoey’s and now Good Girls. I suppose they will all be replaced with another law and order set.
