No Season 5 for the crime dramedy.
June 25, 2021
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Good Girls. The sad news comes a month before the crime dramedy wraps its fourth season, meaning its finale on July 22 will now serve as its series ender.
The hour-long show premiered in early 2018, performing reasonably well in its mid-season time slot. Since then it has gone on to be a reliable spring entry for the network, and has also found its share of viewers in its second run on Netflix.
Good Girls follows three suburban mothers fed up with barely making ends meet. Wanting to change their fortunes, they rob a local grocery store together. But when they get identified and the stolen loot ends up being more than they expected, the three friends soon realize that they are in too deep and their lives may never be the same.
Five episodes remain before the series finale, but unfortunately it sounds as if the ongoing storyline will not have a proper conclusion. Producer Universal Television will also not be looking to find it a new home.

Tucker is absolutely right. Four seasons is elderly age for a TV show.
Unless it's an anthology type series, then I think TV shows should plan for at most 3 seasons story arc. Get it done and leave. Don't drag it out, get stale, get cancelled and leave the viewers hanging.

I didn't watch it, but only because it was NBC. It looked like a good show, but the network is a death sentence. Unless it's cop or medical drama, nothing survives on that network, so why start watching anything?

It was a great show. I'm sorry to see it go, but is anyone surprised? Prime-Time on Sunday night is a death sentence. Especially for those viewers who watch live. Premium Cable, and yes, PBS own Sunday night. Great show rotten scheduling.

Gee what a surprise.
nbc cancelling a high rated show.
Hey what ''reality'' shit is going to take its place.
Then the ''reality'' shit will get cancelled since it will be low ratings.

@Klgcle .. if 3 full seasons isn't "giving it a chance" then what the heck is? 6 seasons? 10? 15?
Realize that 90%+ of all scripted television shows only ever make it to 3 seasons if they are LUCKY. Only a handful go beyond that.

Wow! I am shocked by this cancellation. It is one of the best shows on TV right now. Would have loved at least a good conclusion.
