No Season 5 for the crime dramedy.
June 25, 2021
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Good Girls. The sad news comes a month before the crime dramedy wraps its fourth season, meaning its finale on July 22 will now serve as its series ender.
The hour-long show premiered in early 2018, performing reasonably well in its mid-season time slot. Since then it has gone on to be a reliable spring entry for the network, and has also found its share of viewers in its second run on Netflix.
Good Girls follows three suburban mothers fed up with barely making ends meet. Wanting to change their fortunes, they rob a local grocery store together. But when they get identified and the stolen loot ends up being more than they expected, the three friends soon realize that they are in too deep and their lives may never be the same.
Five episodes remain before the series finale, but unfortunately it sounds as if the ongoing storyline will not have a proper conclusion. Producer Universal Television will also not be looking to find it a new home.

It's official, once This Is Us goes off the air next year, NBC will have to reason to exist.

As it seems to be, the better the show, the quicker it goes. Seems that the good shows and those that seem promising are soon canceled, but the shows that lose more ratings and are less watched are kept in hopes of more viewers. Seems like what someone once told me, those shows that are loved by the producers wives or children. Sad to see this great show go.

Big surprise, 3 Strong female leads and NBC doesn't give it a chance. Shame on you!

Surprised that Netflix won’t take a crack at it. Not a perfect show, but it was okay and my lady and I would watch it together. Seems that if it ain’t a reality show or some Chicago based drama, then it won’t make it on NBC.
Can’t wait for NBC to start shelling out Chicago Airport, Chicago Public Transportation and Chicago Law.

Disappointed. I mean I have stuck with this show since it first aired. I loved it. I do agree that the 2hour premiere was less in quality but I had hope they would get better. Just another decent show going away.

I love reality shows! Put one in this time slot. It could be about people yawning, while watching the trash that's left on NBC. We could call it future coma patients that use to watch NBC. RIP Good Girls. BAD NBC!

Finally!!! Hate to be mean about it and truly enjoyed the series but feel as though they’ve been digging constantly for story lines and also have no idea how they’ve stayed on so long. Love the cast and know they’ll bounce somewhere quick. ✔️ On another network show cancelled from the list making more time...

I really wish they would find another place to pick it up. I would subscribe to another streaming service if I have to. This show was fun and unique. NBC has crappy shows, but this one was different.
