The action drama will return for 2022-2023.
April 8, 2022
CBS announced today that S.W.A.T. has been picked up for a sixth season. The good news comes with seven episodes remaining in the action drama's fifth season, and just days before it reaches the 100-episode milestone.
Shemar Moore stars in the Los Angeles-based series, which follows a former Marine tasked with running a specialized tactical unit that acts as the city's last stop in law enforcement. Raised on the streets, he is torn between his loyalty to his roots and his allegiance to his new brothers in blue as he works to bridge the divide between his two worlds.
Look for Season 6 of S.W.A.T. this fall as part of CBS' 2022-2023 lineup.

Cool news. Good to see them finally not blaming whitey for every crime in every episode. It was getting pathetic there for a while in every episode that was a hate crime from a typical white male. A lot of shows are doing to keep up with what the coll kids are doing.

I like the actors in the show, but...
Poor me, poor me, I have it so bad because I'm black...
So bad I'm the head of an elite police squad.

This is AWESOME !!!!! One of my top 3 favorites on tv right now. Great acting and characters. Solid stories with positive messages, but not crammed down your throat. Good work CBS !!!
