It has been announced that Genius has been picked up for a fourth season. In a first, the National Geographic anthology drama will also be available to stream on Disney+ when it returns for Season 4 in 2024. The show focuses on the lives of historical figures such as Einstein, Picasso, and most recently, Aretha Franklin.
Season 4, dubbed Genius: MLK/X will explore the formative years of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, focusing on their pioneering accomplishments, dueling philosophies, and personal relationships. King used non-violent protest to advance racial equality, while Malcolm X stood for Black empowerment. In their own ways, each became synonymous with the civil rights era and the fight for racial justice.

I didn't watch all of any of the Genius shows. Einstein started slow and I had plenty of other stuff going on. I didn't like the Picasso portrayal and I'm not alone. I accidentally came in the middle of Aretha and for what I watched it was well done to the degree it was accurate. The sequence of Aretha, MLK, and Malcom X is a solid series of episodes dominated by black racial struggles. As important as it is, it doesn't always feel like entainment.
