It is being reported that Dynasty has been cancelled by The CW. The soapy drama is currently in the middle of its fifth season, which will now be its last.
The series has had an impressive run all things considered. Since its first season, it has been one of the lowest-rated prime time dramas on broadcast television. Now five years later, it is set to surpass the 100-episode milestone before it concludes its time on the air.
Dynasty premiered in 2017 as a reboot of the popular 1980s soap of the same name. The series follows the rivalry between two upper-crust American families. Fallon Carrington is a cunning young woman on the rise who discovers that her billionaire father is engaged to a younger rival employee at their global energy empire. Not wanting an outsider intruding on her family's dynasty, Fallon becomes allies with her father's nemesis as part of a move to strike out on her own.

Unbelievable ! I have enjoyed this nighttime soap this day one. It’s funny and enjoyable. The cast is amazing and the stories were a hoot. So sorry to hear it’s canceled…I will miss Dynasty and all the cast…

thats because Riverdale is still getting better viewership of course, whether or not we all think it is a shit show, and it does well for them on streaming. that being said...I'm a bit in shock at all these cancellations even though the few CW shows I still watch got renewed (or at least picked up for a final season).

Tbh, I never watched this show.
But I'm curious... Does the CW have any programming left to cancel at this point? Are they still a channel? Holy cow.
