The 'Roseanne' spin-off will be back in 2022-2023.
May 13, 2022
ABC announced today that The Conners has been picked up for a fifth season. The news, which comes ahead of next week's Season 4 finale, was expected, as reports leaked last month that the main cast members have all recently signed new contracts.
A spin-off of 'Roseanne', which had its 2018 revival cut short due to controversy surrounding its star, The Conners continues to follow the lives of the titular family, albeit without its matriarch. The story picks up after a sudden turn of events alters their landscape forever. Forced to continue living their daily working-class lives in Lanford in a completely new way, Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky, and D.J. tackle everything from parenthood and financial pressure to dating and unexpected pregnancy.
Look for Season 5 of The Conners to premiere this fall as part of the 2022-2023 season.

The ratings have plummeted since season 2. Season 5 will be its last and for the finale the have to bring Rosanne back.
And BTW Sarah Gilbert has gotten so bitter... after this show she'll have very little to do..

I love this show and I’m happy it got renewed! Especially since it obviously STILL pisses off the losers whining over Roseanne getting canned!
Keep crying MAGAts! LOL!!
Huh?

just ridiculous to renew this junk... seems Gilbert has millions to spend on keeping it alive.

This show keeps loosing ratings with every episode but still keeps getting renewed. Sara Gilbert must have some juicy dirt on some exect to keep this trash on the air.

This show is just trash. It the worst written show on network TV. It is woke, but not as bad as some other shows. It's the writing and acting that are killing it. Becky acts like a nutcase, Darlene is dating someone who treats her like trash, DJ leaves his kid with her grandfather. Dan apparently cant wait a year before dating someone else. I think that they are married now. Than there's Jakie...oh man are they writing her bad. She needs to be locked up.

I am still enjoying this show so I am happy!! At this point I have no idea what "woke" means, the word has been used so much.

The Conners and Roseanne were always pretty cheesy and woke. The show still maintains the All in the Family vibe that TV still needs that represents a struggling lower middle class household.

I love John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf, but making Sara Gilbert the star was such a poor move. Not even John and Laurie could keep me tuning in. Darlene was a nightmare in the original incarnation - age has only made her worse.
