No Season 3 for the sci-fi drama.
June 3, 2022
Word is out that HBO Max has cancelled Raised by Wolves after two seasons. Star Abubakar Salim took to Twitter with the sad news, citing recent changes at WarnerMedia as a contributing factor to the cancellation. In the lengthy thread he also offered hope, stating that the production company behind the show was trying to find it a new home.
The hour-long series premiered in 2020 and has garnered solid viewership and praise from critics. It returned for Season 2 in February with an 8-episode run that concluded on March 17, with that episode now serving as its series finale.
Raised by Wolves takes place on a mysterious virgin planet, where two androids have been tasked with raising human children. As the colony of humans grows and develops, it threatens to be torn apart by religious differences - causing the androids to realize that controlling human beliefs is not an easy task.

I Wish SyFy would pick this up. They picked up Stargate SG-1 off Showtime and kept it going another 5 years plus Stargate Atlantis. Except for James Bonds and Harry Potter movies they don't have much else. Lets not forget Futurama too.

the reason sci fi gets cancelled so quick is that it is very expensive. This is why even a rating winner like lost in space on netflix got only 3 seasons because even with that the cost was so huge but it got a proper ending so watch it. So unless a sci fi show has really solid ratings a network will often pull it. I had trouble with the marxist robot killing everyone plot at first but it was actually a good show. That is the thing with sci fi , you have to give it a chance. but few sci fi or horror fantasy shows make it to season two even. cursed , whispers and many others got axed, the expanse did six seasons. that incredible.

I don't have ANY information to back this up... but I'd suspect Apple, being how they are with content contributors, may just have contract clauses for exclusivity preventing the "shopping" to other venues. -- Again, I'm merely GUESSING here. But Apple's kind of known for "locking contributors" into their user channels.

I know shows like the X-Files and Supernatural were almost cancelled at the beginning of their runs and look what happened to them. There are a lot more outlets for shows to be picked up now so I'm not giving up hope.
Huh?

Marco.. be realistic.. that comment cOULD be said about EVERY cancelled show EVER. The way to prevent cancellation is to NOT write a horrible season.... not beg for another season after you've already spoiled the thing.

If they get a enough feedback about season 2 and what was wrong with it they can always bounce back and improve it.
