The spin-off earns another early pickup.

Paramount+ announced today that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been picked up for a third season. The renewal is an early one, as the sci-fi drama hasn't yet returned for its sophomore run. A date for Season 2 was confirmed today, though, with the premiere set for June 15.
A spin-off of 'Star Trek: Discovery', the series is set a decade before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, and follows Captain Christopher Pike, Science Officer Spock, and Number One exploring new worlds around the galaxy aboard the famed starship.

@ DRUMPF : I would recommend you the app I use daily for not only discussing movies and tv, but also track their release, but I am afraid if I post details here, the toxic trolls here will migrate over there. Its a pretty calm place so far where some real conversations take place and the passion is towards discussing the plot nuances rather than made-up political scenarios. Here's hoping you eventually find it.

Without facebook and twitter, i'm not used to this. So I'll try to avoid the comment section in the future.
In the mean time we will try to stop the nazi's in russia to cross in to our country's border. And I hope you will do your best over there.

@DRUMPF : This is the reason the IMDb message boards closed, and years and years worth of nuanced and mature conversation about movies and tv series went away with it. Because these self-righteous trolls hid behind anonymity of the internet and spammed the IMDb message boards until it was trash. The same is happening here. You can count the usual anti-woke spammers here on the tip of your fingers, but they spam the same shtick everywhere and attack anyone trying to have a nuanced conversation.

But then again, the trolls posing as rednecks have always relied on subverting the facts and making up "alternative facts" to support themselves. For example, no one mentioned that woke is all over the place in entertainment, but you.

...to calling Starfleet the military. They function as such, of course. They're the sword and the shield, but Starfleet, is at heart, about exploration. It's why Picard AND Kirk always used force as a last resort. Don't get me wrong, Kirk would fire phasers a lot faster (he had to, his era was way more dangerous), but he always tried to find another way. Now the movie era of TOS was definitely way more like the military.

There is a difference between woke and liberal. I don't have a problem with liberals but the woke are just far left nuts that want to destroy everything including the the country. As you can see by all the shows being cancelled that most people just want to enjoy a show not brainwashed by marxists.
