Paramount+ announced today that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been picked up for a fourth season. The renewal is an early one, as the sci-fi drama isn't slated to return for Season 3 until 2025.
"It has been incredibly rewarding to continue to build the Star Trek universe, and we're so grateful to Secret Hideout and our immensely talented casts and producers," said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+. "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has found the perfect blend of action, adventure and humor, and we're elated to announce another season ahead of our season three premiere."
A spin-off of 'Star Trek: Discovery,' the series is set a decade before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, and follows Captain Christopher Pike, Science Officer Spock, and Number One exploring new worlds around the galaxy aboard the famed starship.

Uhura is a super-woman who outshines all the other characters and the one with real-problem solving capabilities and the lynchpin in this series despite really supposed to be a supporting character.
But, still fun elements and still some good plot elements.
Not sure how they're going to handle some of the transition points between series:
Early TOS episode (Where No Man Has Gone Before) had an old white man doctor, not M'Benga, who gets killed by Gary Mitchell.
Giving Christine Chapel a super-soldier history doesn't mesh with the Christine Chapel from TOS.
And Uhura... she's still a Lt at the beginning of TOS.
Maybe those can be episodes in this upcoming season.
