No Season 3 for the prequel drama.

It is being reported by Deadline that Perry Mason has been cancelled after two seasons. The news comes less than two months after the drama wrapped its eight-episode sophomore run, which again garnered a positive critical reception.
The show debuted in 2020 and gave the cable network its most-watched series premiere in almost two years. While it was promptly renewed for a second season, the show would not return for nearly three years. Unfortunately the ratings for Season 2 slipped significantly enough to not warrant another renewal.
Based on the famed criminal defense lawyer from the novels of the same name, Perry Mason follows his early days as a struggling private investigator in 1931 Los Angeles. After landing the case of the decade involving a kidnapping that goes wrong, Mason's relentless pursuit of the truth reveals a fractured city and a possible road to self-redemption.

Not surprised her, I loved the original Perry Mason and this was a poor, woke-trash substitute. The had essentially side-lined Perry and made Della the star of the show (the better character all around and better lawyer, even though she wasn't one).

The first season was great but strug out. The second not as good at all. Better to do a case a episode.. this was strung out and not as solid..

Compared to what was on HBO, Showtime, and Starz in the old days their shows are awful. I already got rid of Showtime and Starz and just got rid of Max. The only reason I haven't got rid of HBO is because The Last of Us and House of the Dragon and I could probably cancel that because those 2 shows probably won't be on for a year or two.

Boo..... I like this one. Were the ratings not up? This period show had good story lines, good acting and was fun to watch. Way to go MAX

Perry Mason is gone, and a universally panned piece of schlock with Johnny Depo’s daughter is here. So much for quality.
