Word is out that Walker has been cancelled by The CW after four seasons. The news comes with six episodes remaining in the drama's now-final run, with its series finale scheduled to air on June 26. Star Jared Padalecki took to Instagram with a heartfelt note to fans. See his post below. The CW also confirmed the cancellation.
"We want to thank the entire cast, crew, writers, directors and producers of Walker for their hard work and dedication over four incredible seasons," wrote the network in a statement. "We also want to give a special thanks to star and executive producer Jared Padalecki, who has been a member of The CW family for over 20 years and was integral to some of the biggest hits on the network."
A reimagining of 1990s drama 'Walker, Texas Ranger,' the show follows the adventures of widowed father of two Cordell Walker, who has returned home to Austin after being undercover for two years. He now turns his attention to reconnecting with his creative son and his rebellious teenage daughter while tackling other family issues with his ADA brother, perceptive mother, and traditional father.

Similar to another poster, I watched for the first season. I found the first female co-star interesting, but she left during Covid apparently. I can't remember her name, real or character.
I must say, I didn't even care for the original Chuck Norris version much anyway.
I do like a couple of CW shows, but those shows are on a break right now: Family Law; Wild Cards.
Good luck to the cast & crew of Walker. I understand the tv series business can be a bit harsh and temporary.

We gave the show the first season and gave up. A standard CW "bait & switch" where they lure a viewer in with promises of "Texas Ranger" and offer little more than a soggy, tedious soap opera.

CW is done for me. I enjoyed the Ranger storylines, family drama was not as good.

This is fantastic news to hear. Show could have been great for 6-10+ years but writing killed this show. They turned Walker into a re@#rd who can't get one word out without stuttering for 45 mins to get one sentence out. They made Walker also into a total moron 99% of the time with clear signs things are wrong and he isn't smart enough to notice but can magically get away with no weapons and surrounded all the time. It's great to see them finally put this idiot away

Another reason to never watch cw again. This was the last good show on the entire network the rest is trash.

The Ranger part of the show was far superior to the family drama. This season the kids are investigating stolen jewelry like Scooby Doo. The parents seem unnecessary. There are too many subplots and way too many regular characters. Maybe do a 5-year time jump and focus on the Rangers? That I would still watch.
