The superhero drama's next season will conclude its story.
June 11, 2024
Amazon's Prime Video announced today that The Boys will be ending after its fifth season. The news comes less than a month after the superhero drama was picked up for Season 5, and just two days before its Season 4 premiere.
"#TheBoys Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season!" showrunner Eric Kripke said in a post on social media. "Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!"
Based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the series is set in a world where powerful and revered superheroes abuse their powers instead of using them for good. To combat this, a superpowered CIA squad is tasked with monitoring the community and exposing the truth about The Seven, and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes and covers up all of their dirty secrets.

@Winston457,
Kripke didn't work on Supernatural from Season 6-15 so why would he want to make a Season 16, genius?

Sad but it will be OK. If they want to they can make multiple other shows in The Boys Universe.
On the bright side, this frees Eric Kripke to do Supernatural Season 16 (Hopefully!!!!)

Well...that's disappointing news. I guess it makes sense, but this is a great (though demented) show
